Description
Effectively supervise staff and oversee operation in the absence of line manager. Keep team motivated and ensure KPI's are being met.

Have the authority to purchase from approved suppliers and other services in accordance with company policy, and with line managers approval.

Overall Responsibility
To work in conjunction with line manager ensuring that all day-to-day tasks of the operation are carried out in accordance with the standard operating procedures

(SOP)

Appearance and Conduct
Expected to always conduct themselves in a professional manner. Dress in attire appropriate for role, upholding H&S legislation, and all warehouse regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Coordinate and Issue staff workloads and ensure that all duties are carried in accordance with line manager's request.
  • Ensure operational KPI's are met on a daily/weekly basis.
  • Train/induct all warehouse staff.
  • Take responsibility alongside the line manager to ensure the team and the operations are compliant and maintain the highest standards of safety and security.
  • Ensure proper utilisation of Manual Handling Equipment.
  • Ensure the maintenance of all equipment is up to date and all faults are reported using the correct documentation.
  • Maintain appropriate supplies of warehouse sundries.
  • Ensure that the security of the site is monitored and complied with as set out in company security policy.
  • Ensure that the general appearance of the warehouse is kept in good order.
  • Ensure compliance with all operating procedures.
  • Ensure that staff's performance and development issues are handled appropriately
  • Unloading goods by hand, with trolleys or forklift trucks.
  • Taking delivery of goods and signing the delivery notes, receipts or release notes by drivers.
  • Checking goods for missing or damaged items.
  • Maintaining records of all goods on the WMS.
  • Carrying out stock control on a regular basis, working with the Stock Department.
  • Undertaking various warehouse tasks through coordination of picking, packing, E.Commerce,inc gift wrapping, replenishment, returns & locating of stock, enabling the achievement of Excellent customer service.

Daily Routines
***Review daily operational requirements with line manager and organise staff accordingly with targets.

Communicate daily plan and objectives with line manage & staff.

Update line manager throughout the day.


Reporting Requirements
Analyse/interpret data from WMS and advise line manager of staff performance and KPI's goals.
