This growing business in North Manchester who specialise in the repair of rotating equipment including electric motors, pumps and gearboxes is seeking an experienced Manual/Conventional Turner/Machinist.


You will be responsible for:

  • Manual turning and milling using manual machinery.
  • The use of the Huveman Lathe and Ajax Turret milling machines
  • Working on small batch parts and taking responsibility of measuring worn or broken parts
  • Producing new parts taking into consideration bearing tolerances and machine threats
  • General bench fitting duties may be some of your responsibility.
  • General repair of rotating machines, electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be ideal.
  • General bench fitting experience would be ideal.
  • Experience of repairing rotating machines, electric motors, pumps & gearboxes would be ideal.
  • Sound Engineering knowledge and a positive attitude
  • Flexibility, as overtime required often at short notice.
