Role Summary:


The Indirect Buyer will manage the day-to-day purchase order processes and have the responsibility of developing, improving and maintaining relevant KPI's and reporting.

They will ensure that all related procurement activities are in line with Parker Meggitt policies, processes and procedures.

The buyer will also, from time to time be asked to support a number of tactical Procurement projects within operations.


Job Core Responsibilities:


  • Reviews and approves PRs/POs/GRs within authorized limits, as required, while adhering to applicable government laws domestic/international), Company policies, procedures and goals.
  • Monitors purchase requisitions and purchase order status, develops reporting to track the timeliness of processing requisitions, and monthly spend within ERP systems.
  • Supporting Indirect Operations Procurement, by ensuring accuracy and consistency in all aspects of PO and contract placement.
  • Engaging and communicating effectively with different stakeholder areas of Parker Meggitt.
  • Supporting with all aspects of site Indirect Procurement governance, including but not limited to the development, and roll out of policies, processes, enhanced reporting, smart KPI's, communication and strategy deployment.
  • Meet assigned KPIs and related goals, e.g. Cost Savings Target, Indirect Supplier Count Reduction, Process implementation, Timely and accurate Indirect Procurement Reporting, order processing efficiency improvement etc.
  • Maintain and execute improvement initiatives to improve the efficiency of current tools and systems used across the site procurement

Job Specifications:


  • Ideally, previously held procurement role in other organizations, which involved procurement operational, analytical, and reporting responsibilities
  • Working knowledge of SAP processes within the Procurement modules
  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of database systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and targets
  • Ability to gather data, to compile information, and prepare reports
  • Excellence verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicated effectively with stakeholders
  • Wellorganized, detailoriented, and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with mínimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
  • Team building Skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Comprehensive computer skills, ideally advanced with Microsoft Excel and proficient with Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and webbrowsers
