Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Tenancy Sustainment Officerto work in Rugby.This position is initially for a period of 4 months and is paying from £ £16.95 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).
The role:
The main responsibilities of the post are to provide all housing management functions of the Council as far as they affect tenants to achieve the Council's housing objectives and the priorities of the Council.
To contribute as a member of a multi-functional team of housing staff to provide a seamless, qualitative and customer focused service.
To ensure that customer care is maintained to the agreed standards according to the Council's purpose, aims and values.
Contribute to the delivery of a comprehensive Housing Services in accordance with the Council's policies and procedures.
Deliver the housing service in accordance with the Housing Strategy.
Work on own initiative under the general direction of the Housing Services Team Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide a housing management service for all tenants of the Council's general needs and sheltered properties.
Liaise with the Housing Services Team Leader & Revenues Manager and other Officers of Rugby Borough Council, to ensure appropriate guidance and information is provided in the delivery of housing services and to identify and resolve any complaints or problems.
Liaise with and support new tenants in the settling in period and visit within four weeks of their moving into the property to complete a post tenancy check.
Work with internal departments and external organisations to ensure where possible tenancies are sustained through a multi-agency approach and individual support packages.
Complete income and expenditure exercises with customers to ensure they are in receipt of all eligible benefits and are offered assistance around their budget.
Provide support and guidance to Independent Living Co-ordinators around technical housing management functions.
Review flexible and introductory tenancies within appropriate timescales and make decisions based on the review around the rent account, anti-social behaviour and suitability of the property.
Investigate and process all housing management requests such as transfers of tenancy, mutual exchanges and succession in accordance within current legislation.
Investigate, report and act upon possible breaches of tenancy conditions using all appropriate methods including Court action to remedy breaches.

Qualifications:
N/A.
Experience:2+ years working within a similar role.
Compliance:2 years written references.
Travel:
Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
Hours:37 hours p/w.
