I'm working alongside a Manufacturing company with sites spread globally, looking for someone to maintain the Unix - AIX Systems, while also working as part of the support team.

The current Unix Systems Admin is coming up to retirement after his lengthy careerwith the Manufacturer and so a fresh pair of hands are needed.

The department operates with approx. 25 experienced staff, 7 of which you will be working closely with in the Infrastructure team.

You'll work directly beneath the Infrastructure Team Lead, whohas been with the company for over 20 years, working his way up to the top.

The business has been very supportive to employees through the cost-of-living crisis and boasts of its safety in the current climate.

Although you will be required to help with some 1st line fixes, your main responsibility will be the HW/SW management and support of the Unix (AIX) Server/SAN Infrastructure.

Some of the recent projects to get involved with have been SAN Migrations, updatingthe old EMC platform to the new EMC platform and introductions to Red Hat Linux.

The company is also looking to automate a lot of its manual processes so it could be a great time to join and put your ideas forward.
