YOUR ROLE


As an Assistant Supervisor you will be part of a successful team who are committed to supporting a high-profile customer.

This is a critical role within the operation, and directly contributes towards the efficiency and effectiveness of the team and operation.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • Carry out duties related to warehouse operations, this includes the use of a WMS through a handheld scanner and workstations.
  • To lead a team of Operatives, coordinating activities to achieve business objectives and goals by creating a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Update line management as to progress throughout the day and any matters arising, maintaining workflow
  • Monitor team absence and performance, acting where necessary with support from Supervisors.
  • Report and record (at the time or following) any action taken in relation to personnel or conduct issues with support from the Supervisors. On occasion carrying out low level administration such as RTW interviews.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Previous experience in warehouse work
  • Someone who is a great team player and has some experience leading a team
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
  • Great accuracy and basic computer skills
  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment and meet deadlines and targets
  • Committed to the health and safety of self and colleagues
