Job Summary:

As a Framework Wood Assembly Operator, you will play a crucial role in crafting the foundational structures for our GRP building products.

Your primary responsibility will be to accurately assemble and construct wooden frameworks that serve as the basis for our GRP components.

You will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure the efficient and timely completion of orders.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements for wooden framework assembly.
  • Select and prepare appropriate types of wood, ensuring they meet quality standards and are suitable for the intended use.
  • Measure, cut, shape, and join wooden components using hand and power tools to create accurate frameworks.
  • Assemble wooden frameworks according to provided specifications, ensuring proper alignment, stability, and structural integrity.
  • Collaborate with the production team to prioritise tasks and maintain a smooth workflow.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines when operating tools and machinery.
  • Perform quality checks on assembled frameworks to identify any defects or irregularities.
  • Make adjustments or repairs to frameworks as needed to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production progress and potential issues.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide input for process improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, quality, and production.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or a similar field.
  • Familiarity with woodworking tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements accurately.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
  • Good manual dexterity and handeye coordination.
  • Safetyconscious with a clear understanding of safety protocols.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work within a team.
  • Problemsolving skills to address minor technical issues that may arise during assembly.
  • Physical stamina to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
