Contract Scotland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Document Controller to join our client based at their Site, just outside Glenrothes.

This is a full time, permanent job offering a competitive salary and the chance to work with a business who contribute to the preservation of the global environment.

You will be site based, Monday to Friday, 45 hours each week.

This is a fast paced and demanding role where your duties will be varied and will include:

  • Controlling the numbering, filing, sorting and retrieval of electronically stored or hard copy documentation produced by technical teams, projects or departments in a timely, accurate and efficient manner
  • Allocating and controlling the document numbering system for the project work
  • Ensuring all electronic and hard copy filing is accurate and easily retrievable
  • Dealing with requests to retrieve information, information searches and general requests for support from project/department personnel
  • Implementing and developing an effective document handling system in line with company processes and procedures
  • Responding directly to daily issues / requests by using business practices and extensive experience in prioritising
  • Receiving all deliveries to site
  • Processing technical documentation and ensures documents are suitably stored
  • Ensuring work is completed in accordance with the contract, and conform with project time, budget and Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) requirements
  • Delivering feedback for current and future projects and suggesting improvements, where required
  • Updating Site Manager or deputy of all site related activities


You will demonstrate reliability, high ability to work under pressure, social competency, ability to manage conflict, assertiveness and will be service oriented.

A good working knowledge of SharePoint is essential.
