Your new role

We have a fantastic opportunity to appoint a PMO Transformation & Change Consultant to join our PMO function based within our Analytics & Advisory business.


The PMO Practice enhances Amey Consulting's world class reputation in analytics, data-led transformations, and digital solutions; its outstanding programme management expertise integrates the business interests and objectives of our clients and asset owners enable intelligent transport systems, asset management and deliver their digital strategies across rail, highways, light rail, utilities, defence, and other major infrastructure.

A Centre of Excellence within Amey Consulting, the PMO practice expands and refines our distinctive 'Amey approach' enabling us to differentiate ourselves through the combined use of analytics and operational experience.


The PMO Transformation & Change Consultant plays an important part in delivering support to the PMO practice and to client engagements.

Proactively supporting the leadership team on client side and internal delivery. Leading diligently on all tasks to do with project planning, scheduling, cosy control and administration of assigned projects.


The standard hours of work are
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

You will be responsible for

  • Assisting with the delivery of project and BAU activities, internal and client, working closely with senior management to ensure accurate and thorough completion of all assigned tasks related to project planning, scheduling, cost control and administration.
  • Understanding permitted scope of practice, taking the initiative to seek out learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the PMO practice.
  • Taking initiative and demonstrating tenacity in completion of tasks seeking expert and / or senior guidance as appropriate.
  • Having an appreciation of all Health & Safety requirements across Amey and its client sites.
  • Supporting in the preparation of bids, PMO service delivery and assigned aspects of PMO practice administration.
  • Conducting market and sector research to assist PMO business development activities.

What want to hear from you if you have

  • Degree or Higher-Level qualification or equivalent or relevant experience
  • Qualification/Certification from recognised project management industry association or relevant experience
  • MS Office Suite proficiency
  • Project Management Planning, Risks and Issues, Management, Value Management, Quality Management
  • Project Execution including scope management, scheduling, resource management, budgeting, cost management, change management, reporting and issues management
  • Business Planning, outcomes setting and feedback
  • Business Case Development
  • Setting up appropriate governance, reporting and control structures
  • Understanding of enablers of outstanding project delivery e.g., cost, time, quality
