Part Time Locum Band 7 Speech & Language Therapist - South West London
IMC Locums are the new age healthcare agency, we pride ourselves on delivering healthcare recruitment better.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Part Ime (2 days a week) locum Speech & Language Therapist to join a leading teaching hospital, based in South West London.

They are seeking a qualified Speech therapist with previous complex adult experience.

To provide specialist assessment, diagnosis and intervention for clients with complex acquired speech, language and swallowing difficulties
To autonomously manage a caseload of adults and older people with complex speech, language or swallowing difficulties
To line manage and clinically supervise Speech and Language Therapists within the LD team.
To act as specialist in Learning Disabilities, communication and dysphagia, and act as a resource and support for other therapists and professionals working with adults with Learning Disabilities and acquired speech, language or swallowing disorders
To work as a member of the multidisciplinary and SLT teams providing an effective and efficient service, liaising with internal and external agencies. He/she will provide timely and targeted individualised management, treatment for adults, involving relativesand carers and providing appropriate recommendations and training to professionals from other agencies and other professions
To participate in continuing professional development and other activities to maintain evidence based best practice. He/she will also provide student placements, training opportunities and clinical support for assistants, and provide observation opportunitiesfor other professionals
To devise and provide training, advice to carers and multiagency staff and colleagues in the field of acquired swallowing, speech and language disorders. To share skills as a core part of Speech and Language Therapy provision

Position Requirements

HCPC Registered
3 month (minimum) locum assignment to start as soon as possible
Full time hours (Monday
Friday)
Minimum of two years postgraduate experience
Previous clinical experience performing a similar role within a complex adult setting.
