Job description:

I am looking for a Creative Technologist to join a well known broadcaster for a
6 month freelance contract.

  • Day Rate £550
  • Hybrid Working, with
-
2 days office required.


INSIDE IR35

  • You will be doing:
  • Explore new forms of humancomputer interaction incorporating sensors, screens, cameras, and other technologies to push our products into the future.
  • Develop low and high fidelity hardware and software prototypes to validate design ideas and iterate quickly.
  • Working within the Interaction Design team but also with industrial designers, engineers and the wider design product group to help push the client to the cuttingedge of future user interactions and experiences.
  • Stay abreast of the evolving technology, media and design landscape including the emergence of new standards, protocols, and devices to create worldclass product experiences.
  • Own your role, push technology, challenge established thinking, and discover new ways of approaching problems in an R&D environment.
  • Work with engineering and product teams to develop proof of concepts on target hardware
  • Hack things together and have fun
  • What you'll bring:
  • Good communication and organisational skills.
  • Good foundation across a broad spectrum of technologies including:
  • Web Technologies: HTML/CSS, JavaScript, React or similar
  • Electronics for prototyping: Arduino, Raspberry Pi or similar
  • Good understanding of product and user experience design.
  • Experience working with Designers and Developers would be an advantage, particularly Interaction / UX / Product and Industrial Designers. Experience working with engineering teams would be useful.
  • An understanding of CAD / 3D / or game engines would be a bonus.
