About Us

We are at the start of a unique journey - setting up a new £2bn property company with some of the best assets in London and the ability to make meaningful improvements to the lives of Londoners.

TTL Properties (TTLP), is a financially independent commercial property company that is wholly owned by TfL.

London faces challenges that TTLP is well positioned to help meet. There is sub-optimal use of land and property across London. There is a well-documented housing crisis, with a significant under-supply of new homes, particularly affordable homes.

There is a pressing need to decarbonise London, with rising demand for environmentally sustainable spaces that enable and encourage public transport, walking and cycling.

TTLP provides a way forward in the form of medium-density, high-amenity, high-accessibility, low-carbon places that support vibrant life and commerce, connected by public transport and active travel.

TTLP owns and manages 4.68m sq ft of assets including over 1,000 retail units in stations or on London's High Streets, and 850 railway arches, as well as hundreds of acres of developable land which will deliver 20,000 homes over the next ten years, TTLP will quickly become one of London's largest property companies.

The economic value we will generate helps us create a dividend which we return to our parent company, TfL.

We need the right people who are ready to think creatively and take on this challenge.

You need to live and breathe our purpose, think long term and ensure every decision we make helps move London forward.

About the role

The CFO is responsible for directly overseeing all aspects of TTLP financial management, control and business level performance management, ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and TfL reporting requirements, maintaining TTLP's financial integrity and meeting business needs aligned with TfL corporate policies, budgets and other constraints.

We are looking for an experienced and highly credible senior professional, with an established track record of senior level experience, leading a Finance team to support a complex customer-facing service delivery operation of a similar size, complexity and budget.

You will have commercial business acumen, able to demonstrate significant improvements in efficiencies in previous roles and have strong creative problem-solving.

As you will be responsible for the overall TTLP budget, ensuring a sustainable approach to funding TTLP's short, medium, and long term aims, and an understanding of the key economic models driving strategic planning for London is highly desirable.

You will be the key financial and commercial face of TTLP leading on investor relations and negotiations with commercial lenders as well as with key partners and suppliers.

You will champion TTLP and its achievements in an open and honest manner to banks and institutional investors, the property industry, and political leaders at a national and local level, and you will take accountability for all financial decisions.

Whilst this role is part of TTLP business area, it remains part of the wider TfL business.

You will be collectively responsible for supporting the Executive Committee in managing TfL and meeting its strategic priorities and ambition.

You will have a dotted reporting line into the CFO of TfL and the TfL Finance Leadership team.

You will provide clear, visible and authentic leadership and role modelling TfL's Vision and Values - creating a positive and rewarding place to work, setting a clear vision for their team, recognising success and empowering their people to take accountability, to contribute to an inclusive culture in a high performing TfL.
