Description

A skilled Customer Service / Marketing Assistant is needed to join the team at this leading Eddy Current Testing and NDT equipment manufacturing company based in St.

Albans.


This role will broadly cover dealing with customers and distributors in the UK and internationally, together with exhibition organisation, support and follow-up.

They are looking for an enthusiastic person to join their busy team with good organisationalskills and the ability to multitask.


Strong English, written, and verbal communication skills are essential, as is a keen eye for detail, a good sense of humour and an outgoing personality.

This is a new vacancy to improve and support the existing customer service and marketing teams. With the increase in business, this role will be critical for maintaining good relations within their niche industry.


About the Role


Primary tasks will be dealing with customers and distributors both in the UK and internationally, but mainly to take responsibility for contracts and compliance (import/export).

Be able to liaise with all their teams within the company. To include but notlimited to producing paperwork, shipping, record keeping and filing.

Exhibition organisation and support will be a key aspect for this role. Possible attendance at Events in the UK and internationally may be required.

You will also be required to work as part of a team who works with a global distribution network, so goodcommunication skills are also required to create newsletter updates, occasional press releases and editorial content.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Liaise with their sales team to organise demos, training, etc.
  • Event and exhibition planning, logistics, attendance and stand design
  • Creation and updating of newsletters, online content and product brochures
  • Engagement with ad hoc marketing activities

Required Skills:


  • Excellent communication skills, able to manage and meet deadlines
  • Willing to learn the fundamentals about their specialised engineering sector, products and competitors
  • Minimum of GCSE level grade C and above in Maths and English

Desirable Skills:


  • InDesign, Photoshop or any design package experience
  • Experience in creating newsletter content
  • In line with their ISO environmental standard), they welcome CVs from applicants who are able to cycle, walk or use public transport to get to work
