Bedford Modern School is an HMC Independent Co-educational Day School located on the outskirts of Bedford.

Our facilities and grounds are excellent and include a separate Junior School, dedicated Sixth Form building, purpose-built Science Centre opened in 2017 and extensive sports facilities.


This is a new and exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and hardworking person to support the Head Groundsman to maintain and develop natural and artificial play surfaces and plantings across a 50 acre site.

You will have experience of setting up and using a range of sports turf equipment and of preparing cricket wickets, outfield areas and synthetic pitches.

You should also have a good working knowledge of health and safety relevant to grounds maintenance, including noise and vibration legislation and management systems and be able to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external clients.
