Wellbeing Coordinator - working within the HR Team

Hours: 21 hours per week. These can be worked as 3 full days (7 hrs per day), or as shorter days spread over the week


Salary:
£28,500 per annum FTE ( £17,100 _pro rata_)


Location:

Located at our Diocesan office in Stoke Gifford; there will however be an opportunity to explore and agree hybrid working arrangements which strike the right balance for the role holder and the Diocese.


Role Overview and Duties
Reporting to the Human Resources (HR) Manager, this role will work across the HR and Mission and Ministry Support Team to;

  • Offer practical assistance to clergy postholders by creating, updating and sharing of policy documents and guidance to promote health and wellbeing throughout the Diocese of Bristol.
  • Record and monitor sickness levels and support with the administration of the Occupational Health referral process.
  • Work to support postholders during times of ill health by maintaining regular contact.
  • Support with the work of the Wellbeing Survey for Clergy, including analysis of results and resultant actions from the survey outcomes.

The Organisation:

The Diocese of Bristol is the administrative area of the Church of England that covers Bristol and Swindon. There are more than 200 churches in the Diocese, led by hundreds of clergy. In addition, around 15,000 children and young people attend our 72 church schools.

Desired Skills and Experience:


  • Familiar with writing surveys and interpretation of results.
  • Able to work within a changing environment, adapting practices and processes to support the organisation.
  • Excellent and demonstrable IT knowledge, including knowledge of the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to be wellorganised and to work accurately and calmly under pressure in a busy working environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Good interpersonal and diplomatic skills with the ability to relate to a variety of people at all levels in a discreet and courteous manner.
  • An interest in working as part of a busy HR Team where teamwork and collaboration are key.
