The Opportunity
In this role, you will provide Supply Chain support across EDF Energy Nuclear Generation for projects and markets following the companies 'Acquire Goods and Services Process'.

What you'll be doing
As our next Senior Supply Chain Specialist, your roles and responsibilities include:
- Administering the upstream and downstream commercial aspects of a contract to the delegated level of authority (this includes supplier appraisal, tender preparation, tender assessment, negotiation, contract placement, variation and claim management and performance monitoring)
- Maintaining appropriate level of external supplier contact to undertake responsibilities effectively and liaise closely with Supply Chain Management Team on issues of strategic importance.
- Demonstrate you market knowledge of all areas within expenditure responsibility.
- Develop market strategies that will underpin category management and include commercial objectives, relationship management and materials management.
- Ensure supply chain risks are understood, managed and communicate.
- Drive effective contract management and ensure a controlled supply chain environment
Who you are
We're looking for you to demonstrate previous experience of working within a supply chain environment within a relevant industry. Along with this, knowledge of relevant legislation governing supply chain activities is also required.
Holding awareness of best practice, and evidence of influencing change and delivering improvements is also a requirement for this role.
