BAM Nuttall is looking for a full time HR Administrator to join the team in our Head Office based in Camberley for a fixed term period of 14 months.


Your mission


As our HR Administrator, you will join a busy People Services function to support the administration and coordination of systems and payroll.

The role will bring efficiency, proactiveness and responsiveness to the central People Services team.


Primarily you will focus on:


  • Administering the onboarding process and issuing 'welcome packs' to new starters.
  • Engaging with and helping new employees with the onboarding system.
  • Collating references and Right to Work documentation from new starters.
  • Processing new starters, leavers and employee transfers in the HR system.
  • Administering the private medical scheme, including processing new joiners, leavers and amendments to cover.
  • Overseeing the efficient and accurate maintenance of the data within the HR system.
  • Recording and monitoring employee sickness absence.
  • Completing administrative tasks associated with maternity, paternity, shared parental and adoption leave.
  • Being the first point of contact for employee queries and responding in an accurate and professional manner in line with company policies and best practice.
  • Providing information to payroll in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with the HR Business Partners when necessary.
  • Other adhoc administration such as, writing letters, producing references, scanning and filing.

Who are we looking for?

You will have:


  • Previous experience in an administration role, preferably within an HR environment.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload.
  • Good organisation and communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail in your work.
  • The ability to work well in a team.

Your work environment


This full time role is based at our Head Office in Camberley, Surrey working alongside our established HR Administration team.


After training we operate a flexible working policy - currently a minimum of three days in the office and two at home.
