JOB - Applications Engineer

LOCATION - Gloucestershire

TERM - Permanent

SALARY - £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

My client, a Gloucestershire based company specializing in the design & manufacturing of component parts across a number of industries are looking for an Applications Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.


The Applications Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

  • A degree level education or alternate qualification equivalent in Electrical or Control systems Engineering (BEng, BSc, HND, NVQ etc).
  • Experience in either Programming or fault finding and troubleshooting PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi etc)
  • Strong knowledge of drive systems.
  • Motion Control and Robotics experience.
  • Able to produce technical documentation for customers.
  • Full UK driving license.

The Applications Engineer's duties will involve:

  • Delivering Technical Support to customers; both remotely and onsite.
  • Troubleshooting Drive, Motion Controller and Networking systems.
  • Production of technical documentation & communications.
  • Working closely with the Research & Development team through the production development cycle to align with customer feedback.
