We are currently seeking a Band 3 Health Care Assistant to join our Urology Department.


We are looking for someone who is caring and compassionate, dedicated and motivated and who enjoys new challenges every day.

You will develop a plethora of skills and knowledge; you will be the type of person who has a keen eye for detail but also enjoys working with a multi-disciplinary team.

We offer a wide range of urological clinics, treatments, interventions and procedures.

You must be willing to assist with all the different clinics that we run including flexible cystoscopies, Botox, Circumcision, perineal prostate biopsies, Trial Without Catheter Clinics, Catheter Clinics as well as assisting with running the daily clinics.

The post is for 28.5 hours per week. You will need to be flexible with regard to working hours/days as no fixed days will be offered.

The out-patient clinics currently run Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm but this could change to include weekends and late evenings.

You will be expected to be flexible with your start and finish times.

This is an ideal opportunity to join a dedicated specialist team and gain knowledge and skills in caring for patients with urological problems
Informal visits are encouraged to ensure the role is right for you before applying.

Assisting with all the different clinics within the department.

Assisting with clerical duties including preparation of electronic notes, scanning and helping in admin/clerical duties when needed i.e. covering reception.

Assisting with stock control and cleaning of the equipment within the department.

Open to change as new treatments/procedures are brought to the department.
