We are looking to recruit a Planner on a permanent staff basis on behalf of our client, a leading service company within Aberdeen.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Must be conversant with Primavera P6 and or MS Project software or willing to train.
- Must be conversant with all aspects of construction / engineering and shutdown planning process including: front end aspect, mobilisation and work activity planning.
- Capable of producing suite of planning reports, i.e. histograms, plan versus actual.
- Capable of aligning plans with SAP / Maximo or willing to learn.
- Interfacing with Senior Planner, Client Planners and Offshore Supervisors.
- Assisting and preparing VOW / earned value reports / progress reporting (weekly, monthly etc.).
- Assisting with integrity plan reviews with client/s prior to integrated asset planning meetings.
- Attending client planning meetings where required.
- Producing individual and integrated asset plans for all activities.
- Provides planning and progress control services to operational teams and project planning status reports to Senior Planner and Operations / Project Managers.
- Preparing operational plans and programmes as necessary from client documentation.
- Updating and reviewing such plans at intervals based on information received from Project Manager to client nominated deadlines.
Applicants to this role require
- Minimum 2 years' experience in planning, working in oil and gas offshore environment.
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience in working with Primavera P6 and or Microsoft Project.
- Understanding of client CMMS system (Maximo, SAP etc).
- Experience of working independently and away from home office.
- Understanding of the execution process of work pack.
- Suitable vocational qualification in inspection, engineering or technical disciplines (Desirable).
- Diploma in project control to SCQF level 6 or equivalent (Desirable).
- Advanced project management in Primavera P6 (Desirable).
- Some knowledge of conventional and ANDT nondestructive testing techniques.
- 2 years' experience related to inservice inspection planning (Desirable).
