Description
Due to unprecedented growth across multiple business areas, a new role has been created for a Senior Financial Accounting Analyst for this global Asset Manager.
This role would suit someone looking to move to Industry from a Top 10 Accounting firm whose client base is predominantly large Financial Services firms.
ACCA's from Industry are also welcomed if US GAAP within Financial Services is amongst your skillsetThis role comes with Bonus, Private Healthcare & Dental Plan and 2 days per week working from home
Duties include:
- Maintaining the books and records of EMEA corporate entities and any other relevant entities for monthly group reporting purposes under US GAAP and, separately, for local statutory reporting
- Preparation of statutory financial statements under local GAAP, audit packs and supporting the external/internal audit process
- Preparation of VAT and corporate tax returns, understanding the requirements, and working with internal tax team and external tax advisors to ensure a thorough review process
- Assist in the preparation of information for Board Meetings
- Ensuring a robust control environment for all financial reporting, to ensure compliance with all relevant obligations including Sarbanes Oxley
- Monitoring payables and receivables across a number of corporate entities and working with EMEA Treasury, Payroll and Accounts Payable team to manage the related cash flows
- Preparing quarterly and ad hoc financial regulatory returns to financial regulatory bodies
- Enhancing management information through various means, including trend analyses and monthly commentary on the ongoing activities of the relevant entities
- Assisting US Finance team on any queries in relation to group quarterly and annual reporting
- Assistance with ad hoc analysis and other management reporting as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA / ACCA Qualified (Ideally from a Top 10 Audit firm)
- Minimum 3 to 4 years' experience in accounting in financial services or Auditing large Financial Services firms
- Strong technical accounting, tax, and regulatory reporting skills
- Knowledge of both UK & US GAAP and consolidation accounting experience required
- Ability to act autonomously when appropriate and know when to escalate matters
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment
