The Company:
We are working with a well-established, regional construction group who are active in a number of market sectors.
Their North West region have recently secured a number of new contracts valued up to £30 Million and have the opportunity to bid for further work via a number of key procurement frameworks and with private sector clients with whom they enjoy good, long term working relationships.
They have a very knowledgeable senior management team and still have the feel of a smaller family business where employees are valued and supported.
The Role:
They want to recruit a Planner to work on projects from their NW Regional Office.
This is a new role and you would be joining an experienced Senior Planner based in the NW office who will provide guidance and support.
They work in a variety of sectors and take on new build, fit out and refurbishment projects.
You'll be involved in both tender and contract planning with typical duties including;
- Analyse construction methodologies looking for areas of improvement.
- Liaise with the Client and their representatives on planning matters.
- Prepare tender programmes.
- Attend client interviews and meetings where you will explain programmes and methodology.
- Prepare master programmes, updating progress and forecasting completions.
- Identify and mitigate risk whilst ensuring Health, Safety and Environmental considerations are taken in to account.
- Work with the rest of the Planning team to identify and champion Best Practice.
You:
To be successful in this role you will need to have worked in a Planning role previously for a building contractor on the sort of projects described above.
You will be based in or be able to commute to the North West of England - they do offer flexible and hybrid working to their people too.
IT literate - they use ASTA planning software and training can be provided in this if you haven't already used it.
