We have a new and exciting opportunity for a

Volunteer and Peer Mentor Coordinator to join our

Nottingham Team. As part of our multi-disciplinary team, you will work flexibly and creatively to establish what is needed to have the most positive impact for all who are referred to our service.

Hours:37.5hrs per week


Salary:
£33,365 - £35,226 dependent on experience


Responsibilities:


About The Role:


  • Working in collaboration with service manager and staff team in order to identify meaningful opportunities for volunteers
  • Creating and supporting a positive culture of volunteering within the service
  • Recruit, train and coordinate volunteers
  • Supporting the welfare and wellbeing of volunteers
  • Managing a volunteer recruitment and support strategy within the service
  • Ensuring that CGL's values are at the heart of everything we all do, through values based decision making and leadership, creating values based culture.
  • Working collaboratively and reflectively with the assigned Regional Volunteering Lead and other servicebased Volunteering Leads across the organisation
  • Developing internal and external links in order to attract volunteers
  • To deliver and assess accredited and regulated training in order to support the development of volunteers; working within the framework of our Awarding Body
  • Training colleagues in how to support and supervise volunteers, providing direct linemanagement supervision when required
  • Support volunteers to follow Change Grow Live policies, procedures and values
  • Investigate and resolve volunteer conduct matters when they arise
  • Leading on service user involvement, facilitating conversations between service users and decision makers within the service
  • Lead on service user involvement, working collaboratively with the team to promote meaningful service user involvement within the service. This includes facilitating the production of regular service user bulletins.
  • Ensure our forums are vibrant and engaging and our service users voice are listened and responded to
  • Coordinate regular service user events within the service working collaboratively with peers.

About you:


  • Have a strong understanding of volunteer support and managment.
  • Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills
  • Have a good working knowledge of volunteer services.
  • Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
  • Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
  • Experience of effective partnership working, relationship management, pathway and protocol development
  • Skills which demonstrate effective communication in a variety of formats to a broad audience
