As a
Business Case Writer your main responsibilities would be:

Working with projects and programmes to plan and draft business cases across PPPT, taking responsibility for ensuring that they comply with Home Office standards under the Project Delivery Framework methodology and guidance.
Devising and providing guidance and advice to project/ programme teams on the requirements and development of business cases, using organisational templates and the HM Treasury 5 case model.
Ensuring that relevant organisational factors for change are incorporated within a comprehensive business case, and that there is a clear rationale for preferred options in line with DDaT and wider Home Office strategies.
Ensuring that business cases are written accordingly to retain validity throughout the project and funding lifecycle, updating project sponsors as required.
Share expert knowledge and experience to support the upskilling of the wider Business Case team.

Essential Criteria:

Experience of leading the development of Business Cases using the HM Treasury 5 case model.

Translating senior direction and strategy into clear, actionable plans whilst providing analytical and problem-solving capability.

Strong project management skills, including but not limited to risk management, reporting, and business case writing skills.
Ability to produce concise and persuasive verbal and written briefings and presentations as well as engaging with individuals at all levels internally and externally with credibility.
