Description

We're looking for a Civils Operative to join our Telecoms Project team based in Basingstoke.

Location:
Basingstoke, Hampshire/Berkshire

Contract:
Full time - Permanent - 45 hours per week

What will you be responsible for?

As a Civils Operative, you'll be working within the Telecoms Project team, supporting them in carrying out essential services to the Openreach infrastructure.

Your day to day will include:

Provide new installations of duct, chambers, boxes, frames, cover and demolish, and rebuilds.
Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standards as well as clearing blockages in private land.
Be competent in the use of Stihl saws, wacker plates, trench compactors, mini diggers, jackhammers and to be responsible for these company assets and plant assigned to you for the purpose of performing your duties
Maintaining excellent working relationships with supervisors and peers, and to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients
Complete all paperwork such as risk assessments, plant sheets, HAVS sheets and or van sheets and ensure health and safety policies are adhered to at all times

What are we looking for?
This role of Civils Operative is great for you if:

You have previously worked on the Openreach network
You hold the Openreach Craft Accreditations including SA004/SA006/Q012/Q01
You have Full NRSWA certification
You hold a clean valid driving licence
