The Role
***As part of our established Asset Management team you will be responsible for the timely delivery of utility new connections, services disconnections and diversions projects. The role involves working closely with utilities distribution companies, statutory and independent connection providers, asset owners and utility suppliers to ensure cost-effective connections within set deadlines. The role also involves the administration and progression of all relevant issues involved in this process including co-ordination and liaison with the customer and other members of the Alfa Energy team.


Core Responsibilities:


  • Communicating with utilities to ensure timely and costeffective connections
  • Work alongside all stakeholders to provide a quality service to clients, within agreed deadlines
  • Using your knowledge and experience to identify and successfully resolve problems
  • Review quotations to ensure they meet requirements and provide recommendations
  • Ensure invoicing is processed in a timely manner
  • Keep customers up to date with relevant developments
  • Data entry and maintenance of all relevant developments
  • Data entry and maintenance of all relevant project databases
  • Production and updating of relevant systems and reports
  • Dealing with incoming external and internal enquiries
  • Attending client meetings as and when required
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices throughout the metering project lifecycle
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, progress reports, client communications, and any required regulatory documentation
  • Any other duties as required by the line manager

Key Skills & Experiences:


  • Minimum twoyear experience in the energy industry
  • Knowledge of metering and site works for utilities
  • Excellent Project Management skills
  • Prioritising to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent problem solving
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Packages
  • Experience in businesstobusiness customer service
  • Good numeric skills with an eye for detail accuracy
  • Excellent both written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • Track record of managing pricing cost components and pricing models
