SENIOR TECHNICAL MANAGER

The key responsibilities for the role will be:

Head up the technical department ensuring we meet and exceed exacting customer demands for technical excellence.
Full responsibility for building relationships with technical teams in our international supply base, including customer audit preparation and supervising audits to a high standard.
Management of BRC audits and ensure suppliers meet customer requirements at all times including BRCGS, Sedex and BSCI.
Lead and advise on statutory regulations and company standards relating to best practice in food safety and quality.
Lead and manage the technical department of 9 which incorporates quality assurance and CSR.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Manager with the following skills and attributes:

Previous exposure and understanding of UK retailer requirements, practices and procedures
Experience and a strong interest in managing internal, 2nd and 3rd party audits.
Experience of working in the food industry and supplying major UK retailers (prior experience of Tesco TFMS preferable).
BRCGS Lead Assessor
Up to date knowledge of food legislation
2.1 or equivalent in a Food Science/Technology degree
