HMP Fosse Way is a brand new Category C resettlement prison in Leicester with the capacity to house around 1,700 prisoners.

Here at Serco, we are looking for badged Prisoner Custody Officers (PCOs) to join our team and support with the health & well-being of our prisoners by providing comprehensive sports, fitness and well-being programmes.

You will lead, teach and control the prisoners in a full and varied programme of recreational and Educational PE activities.

A key part of this role is to promote and organise special events to help with establishing firmer family and parental links as part of ongoing work to help reduce reoffending.

Whilst some knowledge of fitness and sports coaching is beneficial, more importantly is the desire to want to make the difference to our prisoners by presenting and projecting a positive image of health and fitness.

Have you started of your career in a prison as a PCO and are looking for a change of direction from the operational duties on the wings but have the desire to still work very closely with rehabilitating prisoners? What you'll need to do the role
You must be PCO badged and enjoy working as part of a team in a challenging environment.
Ideal qualifications - Physical Education degree, Gym instructor Level 2, circuit training or similar.**Why Serco*- _
