Reed Finance are currently supporting one of our clients within the public sector to recruit for an interim Financial Accountant position.

The role is ideally suited to a Chartered Accountant who has strong exposure to IFRS ideally within the public sector.

_Key Duties_

Responsible for the timely and accurate management and preparation of the Statutory Accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
Supporting Directors and the Chief Executive in the financial management, ensuring that the delegated financial framework is in place to allow delegated accountable officers to make financial commitments
Providing high quality, reliable, accurate and timely financial information both internally and externally, including providing advice on current legislation and external audit compliance and risk management
Establishing and maintaining close effective working relationships with a broad range of stakeholders including, as appropriate, government departments, Internal Audit and External Auditors.
Developing accurate and relevant financial reporting utilising their financial management system (Agresso
Responsible for the management of the Financial Reporting function and for the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures in your area of responsibility in particular the Finance Policy Manual.
Chartered Accountant
Strong IFRS exposure, ideally within the public sector
Excellent communications skills
Advanced Ms Excel
