Previous Applicants need not apply*An amazing opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic band 3 support worker to join the amazing Children's Community Complex Care Service.

We are made up of 4 teams.

The Long Term Ventilation Team provide 24 hour support for children who require ventilation, Continuing Care Teams, Home and School and Swanbourne Gardens which is a 4 bedded respite unit which provides overnight stays for children.


We work in co-production with the families to help the children make memories in their home or outside family life.

As a support worker you would be expected to work across all four teams.


Robust training and regular competency reviews will be provided by our experienced staff nurses to ensure care is provided safely and in line with all policies and guidelines.

Our teams provide a 24/7 service so we would require you to be flexible in your shift pattern.


These children have complex care needs and are dependant on technology for their well being - full training and support to care for these children is given on starting the post and updated at regular intervals during the year.


To undertake a range of duties, which involve direct care, following care plans agreed with parents and named professional, working in the children's home, school or other environment where they spend time.


Maintain accurate records of all care given, omissions and inform parent and named professional of any changes in child's condition or situation, and any significant relevant factors.


Applicants must be willing to work flexibly across both night and day duty as we provide a service that runs 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

Night duty is on a waking basis and paid accordingly.

An ideal applicant has significant experience in looking after children and preferably children with additional or special needs.

You must be willing and able to learn new skills and flexible with both your working days and hours.


You will be joining a growing team of Support Workers and will have every opportunity to learn and be supported in gaining experience and knowledge in caring for these children.

If successful this vacancy will require an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £41.90. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salary.


In addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £13.
