The core purpose of the Digital & Security organisation is the provision of world class Digital and Security expertise, solutions and services to our customers, which include NSS, NHS Boards, Scottish Government and the wider Public Sector in Scotland.

The National Clinical Informatics Service for Scotland is involved in Clinical Safety Assurance of Health IT; Software as a Medical Device; Health & Care Analytics; Clinical Terminologies; Digital Health & Care Solutions; Clinical Data & Information; Research & Innovation; and Training & Events.

Scotland's Digital Health and Care Strategy makes a commitment to develop and embed a standards based approach to clinical and care safety cases for all major systems.

With the resulting increased demand for clinical assurance on a range of new IT solutions, an exciting opportunity has been created to strengthen our Clinical Informatics Team.

As a Clinical Information and Clinical Safety Officer you will play a critical role in enhancing the clinical safety of a range of IT solutions being developed/supported by the Digital & Security Business Unit.

Applications are invited from individuals who have an active clinical registration and knowledge of clinical safety approaches in the context of IT solutions.
