Following a recent major refurbishment project, KIC London offers students a beautiful, state-of-the-art study environment, with a range of learning spaces which encourage both collaboration and independence.

Our KIC London team is committed to ensuring our students thrive socially and academically during their studies.

Our college is located next to borough market, two minutes from London Bridge station, offering fantastic views across the Thames to the City of London.

Would you like to work in a fast-paced international environment in the heart of London, supporting and motivating our students to reach their goals of progressing to their degree programme?

We are looking to appoint a team of Learning Advisors for the academic year (September to August).

The role is based at Kaplan International College London, a university pathways college where students from more than 100 countries come to prepare for entry onto undergraduate or postgraduate courses at one of our 7 prestigious university partners.

Extensively refurbished in 2018, our college is located next to Borough Market, two minutes from London Bridge station, offering fantastic views across the Thames to the City of London.

The learning environment is state-of-the-art and our KIC London team is committed to ensuring our students thrive socially and academically during their studies.

The Learning Advisor role is key to this approach as it focuses on supporting individual students to achieve their full potential.


The role
You will work with a caseload of students and:

  • Ensure students know what they need to do to pass modules and to reach their requirements to progress
  • Ensure students understand deadlines, assessment dates, and other information
  • Ensure students submit their completed eportfolio to successfully fulfil their programme requirements
  • Support students to have excellent attendance and engagement
  • Signpost students with health, welfare and other issues to relevant staff
  • Note students who indicate they might have alternative university plans
  • See if students' progress is going to be impeded by outstanding fees to the college
  • Over the summer months, lead successful students through the process of enrolling at host
  • Provide feedback to staff and others (parents, sponsors) on individual students
  • Keep up to date and accurate records

You will enjoy working with international students, be student focussed, be open to change and development, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and be fully committed to ensuring all our students' success


You will need:

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and problemsolving skills
  • Ability and desire to motivate young adults to do their best
  • Ability to record information accurately and meet deadlines
  • A strong commitment to equity and inclusion
  • A nonjudgemental, mature approach
