Ocean Healthcare are looking for an experienced
Healthcare Assistant to support a lovely little girl at night
(10pm-7am) in her home in
Kingsteignton.


Pay rates:

-
£13.05 p/hr Monday-Friday (nights):

-
£15.30 p/hr Saturday-Sunday (nights):

-
£18.30 p/hr Bank Holidays

Night shifts only 10pm-7am.


This little girl is 6 years old and has a number of health challenges including epilepsy, developmental delay and unsafe swallowing.

She is gastrostomy fed and uses a BiPAP machine at night. When she's awake she loves playing and interacting with people.


Her care requires some advanced skills for which training will be provided by our exceptional nurse team who also provide close support.


We're looking for someone experienced in care whom we can train to handle the special and complex needs required for this girl during the night.

This is an opportunity to do something on a
1-2-1 basis to make a difference and really support her and her family.


Lone working - This little girl will usually be asleep whilst you are on shift and you will be the only carer on shift, but when awake the family are around and very supportive.


It's vital that we have staff consistency and so
you will be required to pick up a minimum of 2 shifts per week.

You will be able to pick up more shifts each week if you can and would like to. Mon-Fri and Weekend shifts are available.

Flexibility would be appreciated, but we are willing to consider your personal circumstances if there are days/times you are unable to work.


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
You need to be an experienced carer. It is not essential that you have specific experience working with complex needs. Fully trained carers in this package will be competent working with gastrostomy, BiPAP and managing seizures.

You will be trained and supported by our outstanding team of specialists and nurses.

This will involve of training and shadowing until one of our nurses is happy to sign you off as competent.

Training is paid for.
