We are looking for someone to join our Facilities Team based in Merefield House, but also working in the Wakefield District to assist in the provision of a comprehensive, effective, and efficient Facilities Management service with emphasis on health and safety, compliance, event and building management.


What you'll be doing:


You will help co-ordinate the relocation of office furniture and equipment as part of the space management, layout planning and exciting office transformation work to WDH offices.

You will also identify and undertake minor repairs and carry out maintenance works around designated WDH buildings and work with the Senior Facilities Management Officers to ensure health and safety compliance and adherence to the organisations Waste Management Plan.


Compliance will include assisting in the completion of weekly building checklists, recording water temperatures and meter readings and inputting these into an Excel spreadsheet.

Outside, you will help in the upkeep of the car parks, signage, grounds, and security, ensuring we maintain a fantastic first impression for visitors.


Along with working with the Facilities Team, you will also work closely with the Commercial Team, assisting with void inspections and helping manage day to day operational aspects if required.


Events are an important aspect of the Facilities Management role, and you will assist in the booking of events and preparation of meeting rooms ensuring buffets, drinks and other requirements are in place ready for customers.

Please note:

there will be a requirement to periodically work outside normal office hours to facilitate late evening meetings or opening up/locking up requirements and weekend work to supervise contractors.
