MACHINE OPERATOR - ROTATING SHIFTS - CIRCA £27,000


A global manufacturing who are leaders within beauty and hygiene industries, are looking for a machine operator to join their team.


To be considered for this role you must have previous manufacturing or operating experience, be able to work shifts & ideally, have a working knowledge of mechanical systems.


Due to the growth of the company our client requires skilled operatives who have previous machine operating experience within a manufacturing setting.

As a machinist you will be working with various machines in a clean room environment and will be responsible for setting and operating automated machinery which includes monitoring speeds, scrap, output & quality.

This position will offer a starting pay of circa £27,000 and the hours of work will be based on a continental shift pattern which includes days, nights & weekends, but in turn provides a good amount of time off between shifts


Duties include:

  • Ensure safe and efficient running of machines
  • Running print presses and laying printing plates
  • Supply samples for inspection & approval
  • Maintain machine speeds & minimise scrap where applicable
  • Undertake a deep clean of machinery when required, sticking to strict health and safety rules
