Energy Division at
ARM are currently recruiting for experienced Structural Engineersto join our client, who are an established Global Contractor, specialising in the Offshore & Onshore Energy Sector.


Location:
London/Surrey area


Role Type:
Approx. 12 month contract


Rate:
Negotiable p/d -
OUTSIDE IR35

What your role will look like:

  • To Perform and be Responsible for structural analysis tasks by means of modelling in company standard structural analysis software (Primarily in SACS as well as in STAAD and GT-STRUDL).
  • Ideally to have relevant analytical experience in other relevant offshore structural engineering analysis software ANSYS used for detailed stress analysis of offshore structures.
  • Perform detailed design calculations in accordance with current requirements and the latest Industry Codes and Standards including statutory rules and regulations (DNV GL, API, AISC, EC and Norsok).
  • Review/comment and approve Structural drawings for steel structures based upon Engineering Design.
  • Prepare highquality Design Reports and to maintain records in accordance with Department Operating Procedures
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a manner consistent with the company's policy on health, safety, quality and environmental matters in accordance with company procedures.

What software will you be using?

  • SACS
  • STAAD
  • ANSYS
  • GT STRUDL

What do you need to succeed?

  • BEng, M.Eng, or M.Sc in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar. Chartered Engineer or progressing towards charted status.
  • Relevant offshore energy industry experience with a proven track record of delivering highquality Structural Engineering.
