An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Registered Adult Nurse to join our team at the Dorset Bladder & Bowel Continence Service.


The successful person needs to have an interest and enthusiasm for continence, and will be providing specialist assessment, treatment & management for patients with complex bladder & or bowel dysfunction.


In return for your enthusiasm and commitment, we can provide an opportunity for you to develop your clinical skills in continence and experience in a supportive team, with regular supervision and appraisals.


You will be required to achieve a certain competency level within your first year which we will support you to achieve.

Training will be provided both internally within the team and externally by attending relevant continence skill training courses. Opportunities for further training may also be available through the Trusts Training Department.

To provide specialist assessment, treatment and management for patients with complex bladder and or bowel dysfunction.

To develop and deliver specialist training and advice to health care professionals in the promotion of continence and management of incontinence particularly within primary healthcare/community settings.

To provide advice to the general public on continence issues.


To support the Continence Advisory Service Team Lead in developing and managing all aspects of the service to ensure high quality delivery, patient satisfaction and continual improvements in patient reported outcomes.
