Purpose of the Role:

To provide a quality claims service to all Downstream Energy, Power, and Renewable clients together with advisory and servicing role to internal customers.

Main Responsibilities:

Management and control of complex Downstream Energy, Power, and Renewable claims.
Communicate regularly with clients to understand and meet their business requirements.
Personally provide outstanding service and technical advice, expediting and negotiating best claims settlements.
Enter claims advice and settlements on inhouse, Lloyd's and Company market systems such as Global XB, CLASS etc.
Contribute to business development with recommendations during marketing and renewal meetings.
Develop and foster relationships with clients to attract new business and retain existing clients.
Collate and produce ad hoc statistics and reports for insurers and clients.
Monitor and report legal and market developments to the Company to facilitate the prompt and professional handling of all claims.

Leadership/Management:

Work closely with the Claims Manager to:
Develop a strong and realistic business plan, ensuring this is in line with the larger Divisional Plan.
Align the team to this plan and drive delivery.
Provide leadership and guidance and manage the team responsibilities and be accountable for service delivery.
Be responsible for the team's performance against service standards and take remedial action as appropriate.
Hold regular team meetings.
Act as focal point for market intelligence.
Be actively involved in recruitment/promotions/remuneration for the team.
Ensure that all staff within the team are trained, competent and motivated.
Conduct regular appraisals in accordance with timescales and guidance set by the Company.

Qualifications & Experience:

Desirable
CERT CII or ACII qualified or relevant qualification.
8+ years with a broker, insurer or loss adjuster handling complex Downstream Energy, Power and Renewable claims.
