Swan house care home and extra care service is ideally situated in the heart of the community in Winslow, we provide a range of care and support for our residents
Swan house care home and Swan Court extra care is a friendly, welcoming and supportive home from home environment for both our residents and our staff, Swan house regularly organises varied activities, outings and events for not only our service users totake a part in but our staff as well
Our Registered Care Home Manager needs:
- Experience of running high quality care services that have achieved full compliance/a good or outstanding rating with CQC
- At least 2 years' supervisory or management experience in a residential setting
- Experience of managing budgets.
- Strong people skills
- Level 4 in Leadership and Management in Care Services or equivalent.
- Experience of selling to private payers.
- Good IT skills including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, the Internet, and electronic care management systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of specific conditions that affect older people such as Dementia
- Level 4 Diploma in Health and Social care or Registered Manager's Award or NVQ
- Assessment of the care and support needs of older people.
- Working with older people with experience in a senior capacity, carrying out management tasks related to a residential care home.
- The ability to develop effective relationships with residents, their families, staff and other professionals.
- Day-to-day running of the services, overseeing all compliance activities. As the Registered Manager with CQC you will be responsible for making sure the quality of the service and care provided meets the Fundamental standards as well as the standards setby Ambient Support
- Ensuring that each resident has a personcentred care plan which is continually reviewed with the individual and their family.
- Respecting the values, beliefs, and culture of everyone
- To work flexibly over a 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year basis, according to the requirements of the individuals being supported
- Ensuring that any concerns, complaints, or requests are responded to effectively.
- You will be responsible for marketing and selling the private beds in the service and developing the service in line with local needs.
- You will develop an effective personcentred team that supports each individual living in the service to be happy, safe, and well cared for.
- Planning the delivery of the care and support to the people living in the service.
- You will take responsibility for the selection, management and development of all staff working within the service.
- To identify and participate in continual personal development, to maintain and develop the skills and knowledge required to support individuals.
- To demonstrate competence as a 'fit person' to be a registered manager and be able to continue to act in this capacity.
