The HR Generalist role will support managers on a variety of people priorities and will provide the opportunity to get involved in a wide range of generalist activities.


Role Overview

As a member of the HR Professional Services Team you will deliver end to end HR processes and procedures for your internal client groups in the UK and Ireland Franchises.

As well as engaging stakeholders in the UK and Ireland, you will act as the first pointof contact for Managers across countries in Western Europe, whilst engaging with local country HR partners to collaborate on the best solutions to a range of people matters.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Partner with leadership teams and people managers to tailor and execute the people strategy for your client groups providing proactive solutions and support
  • Work with managers to ensure the effective & seamless delivery of endtoend HR processes including all annual cycle activities
  • Provide advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of Employee Relations matters including conduct, absence and performance issues. Advise business leaders and people managers on opportunities and risks relating to management actions across the ERlandscape
  • Support managers and employees in resolving informal workplace issues and complaints and support the delivery of disciplinary action in line with the company's global Discipline policy
  • Develop strong working relationships with key HR partners including Reward & Mobility, Employee Relations, Talent Acquisition and Talent, Learning & Diversity. Leverage these relationships to help ensure the efficient delivery of HR processes and initiativesto your client group
  • Support managers in developing and delivering proactive people initiatives to improve employee engagement, career progression, development and diversity & inclusion
  • Coach people managers to increase their capability in managing performance of their teams ensuring that development and career plans are in place and under performance is addressed
  • Partner with global and regional compensation specialists and HR colleagues to support an efficient and coordinated annual year end compensation process
  • Lead and implement change management activity required to support ongoing business growth ensuring adherence to any regulatory requirements

Skills and Experience:


  • Experience in an HR Generalist/HR Business Partner role
  • Good understanding of GB and Northern Ireland employment law, policies & systems
  • Knowledge and experience of sound HR practice
  • Strong ability to manage and mitigate risk
  • Commercial awareness and a solid understanding of how HR adds value to the business
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate and partner with individuals at all levels within the organisation
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills and solutions focused
  • High tolerance for dealing with ambiguity and ongoing change
  • Resilient under pressure and selfmotivated in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Strong organisational skills: organise and drive personal work flow and followup to completion.
  • Proficient in the use of HR systems, preferably Workday
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications:


  • Degree in Business, Human Resources Management or related discipline.
  • Professionally qualified (CIPD) or equivalent work experience.
