Description

A permanent opportunity has arisen for the post of Estates Support Officer to provide the Property Department, Estates Management Team and Head of Property with effective operational support across the full range of Estates Management activity of the service within NHS Tayside.


Directly responsible to the Senior Estates Manager(s), working with Property Estates Division colleagues as well as the wider Property Department and NHS Tayside services for Estates related work to ensure that Estates requirements are fulfilled.


Develop and support a range of systems for recording and managing communications including an effective electronic document filing system, Estates managed work-plans, regular updates and communications regarding Estates Backlog Maintenance projects as well as developing new ways of communicating and engaging at both local and national level regarding all aspects of Estates management.

Responsible for the preparation of reports to the Board, Finance and Resources, Capital Scrutiny, Scottish Government and other forums.


Hold excellent communication and administrative skills particularly written communication skills, a keen desire to stimulate innovation in self and others in order to identify/introduce more effective ways of working; including advanced IT skills, and experience of project management/scheduling software and in particular web page construction.


This post will require strong and demonstrable experience of delivering priorities, experience of NHS systems and processes in a number of key areas such as the built environment assurance, finance; business case development governance and approvals.

Applicants will be educated to Degree level or possess equivalent skills, competencies and experience.


The Post holder will be required to work at any NHS Tayside property as necessary, therefore the ability to travel is essential.


Hours of work:
Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week).

**You will be required to achieve the mandatory Inductions standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
