At Action on Disability, we support individuals to employ their own care and support staff (we are not a recruitment agency; we are a support service).


This means you will not be employed by Action on Disability, but directly by the individual themselves or by a representative who is acting on their behalf.


We are currently working with a disabled young lady based in Hammersmith and Fulham who is looking for a Personal Assistant to start ASAP.


Job Descriptions:


  • To enable the client to access activities in the community safely, for example, swimming, walks, cinema and shopping trips
  • Be polite and hold a respectful attitude to employers
  • Be friendly and outgoing, as you will need to accompany client to access community activities
  • Have previous experience in working with young adults with learning disabilities
Hours of Work: 21 hours per week

Pay:
£14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 per week


Schedule:

  • Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • London, W14: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

  • Do you have previous experience in working with young adults with learning disabilities?
  • The employer will conduct an enhanced DBS check of you before employing you, and will also contact your referees about you. Are you OK with that?
  • Are you able to provide two referees, one of whom must be your current or previous employer?
  • Are you an outgoing person? Because this job requires you to accompany the client to access different community activities like swimming
