About this job:


We are looking to recruit a CCTV Monitoring Officer to be part of the CCTV Team which consists of 11 CCTV Monitoring Officers and supervisors working a 24/7 rota shift.

The successful applicant would be required to proactively operate and monitor the Council's Close Circuit Television (CCTV) System in line with the Code of Practice to detect crime, anti-social behavior and bye-law contraventions.

To follow the instructions detailed in the Procedures Manual for recording and reporting such incidents to the emergency services, internal departments or relevant partner agencies.

To monitor and respond in accordance with written instructions the Council's Lone Worker, secure roof management and intruder, fire and panic alarms systems.

Key aspects of the role would be to Proactively monitor the CCTV cameras to identify any criminal activity, anti-social behaviour or unsafe activity.

Carry out reviews of recordings as requested by authorised individuals making still, video or digital copies as required making sure to maintain the evidence trail and complete the relevant paperwork.

Report any faults and CCTV or associated equipment defects in accordance with the Fault Report procedure.

Centrally control and monitor the Council and Police radio receiving and transmission equipment as required to pass and receive clear and accurate information.

The role is based in London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and will be operated on a shift rota basis.


Special requirements for this post:


The successful applicant will be required to have a DBS processed, this will be processed by LBBD as part of your recruitment compliance.
