An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time CAU Team Leader within Trauma and Orthopaedics, to work across both our Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells sites.
This post forms part of the recruitment programme for the new Kent and Medway Orthopaedic theatre complex at Maidstone Hospital which will provide capacity for an estimated 5,000 procedures per year.
Once complete, the theatres will expand orthopaedic surgical capacity at MTW and provide increased capacity across Kent, Medway and East Sussex.
You will be highly organised and adaptable and possess experience in administration and leading a team within an acute hospital.
You will need to be able to demonstrate leadership skills as you will be a key point of contact for the pathway coordinators and admin support staff.
As well as leading an admin team, the job will include monitoring all orthopaedic theatre lists, trauma lists, outpatient clinics and fracture clinics; liaising with consultants, nursing teams, physios and operational managers.
A good knowledge of the 18 week pathway and PTL is necessary to fulfill this post with a good understanding of wider NHS relationships between GPs and the Acute NHS providers.
You should be self-motivated and be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.
You will need to be able to work unsupervised and be able to deliver to tight deadlines The applicant should be able to demonstrate an interest to learn new skills.
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.

Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury.
Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients - the first of its kind in the country.
