Hillside Care Home in Huyton, Liverpool are currently seeking a Laundry Assistant for 18 hours per week.


Hillside Nursing Home provides high-quality care in an attractive purpose-built home with committed team offering a warm and friendly environment.

Our team offers a kind, considerate and attentive service. Everyone is treated with dignity and the focus is on promoting residents' independence and quality of life.


Our home consists of 114 rooms in four separate units, providing safe, clean and comfortable personal spaces which are complemented by pleasant landscaped gardens and welcoming, communal rooms.


We are looking for someone to work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness of linen, towels and Service Users' personal clothing, and to ensure an adequate supply of these items at all time.

Main responsibilities

  • Sort washing into relevant groups, where applicable, and process it through the washer, dryer and iron.
  • Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area.
  • The following priorities apply; Bedding ,Towels ,Service Users' personal laundry Serviettes ,Tea Towels
  • Return the Care Centres washing to the linen cupboard and the kitchen
  • Perform minor repairs to Service Users' clothing
  • Any clothes that are not marked should be marked and placed in the appropriate boxes after they have been laundered
  • Return the Service Users' personal clothing to their rooms and put away neatly

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 18.00 per week


Salary:
From £10.42 per hour


Ability to Commute:

Ability to Relocate:

  • Liverpool, L36 8DU: Relocate before starting work (preferred)
