Description

Following the recent implementation of the Cerner EPR solution, the Trust is supporting a growing number of EPR users who require access via an NHS Smartcard.


Key tasks include:


  • Registering new users for NHS smartcards.
  • Printing new and replacement smartcards.
  • Assigning relevant levels of access to our clinical systems.
  • Monitoring service desk calls to provide support and guidance to users.


There has never been a more exciting time to join West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Major redevelopment works are due for completion by 2025 or soon after.

These will be most dramatic at Watford General Hospital where up to 90% of buildings will be new.


The trust has recently gained 'teaching hospital' status which reflects the dedicated work of many teams and individuals who have set the standard for delivering high quality training, learning and education at all levels of the workforce.

The position will require you to work as an NHS RA Agent, following the procedures and duties set out to comply with NHS Digital requirements.

You will meet with users at all levels.

across the various sites, registering users to create them a national digital identity, producing smartcards, troubleshooting issues, providing access to key systems and training superuser and sponsors to assist with smartcard management within their own areas.

The position feeds into the System Access Lead and work alongside another RA agent.
