NxGen Recruit are currently hiring a Health and Safety Advisor on a 3 month initial contract basis.

This role will be based from either Corby or Kettering with travel to sites across the region.

You will be part of a busy Housing Property Services and Communities Team and be the Health and Safety Advisor to offer advice and support to all Staff, Team Leaders, Repairs Officers, Tradespersons, Customers and 3rd Party Contractors relating to all health and safety matters to ensure the are working in a safe environment.

You will identify and manage risks, implement policies and safety management systems, carry out inspections and report non compliance as well as offer any advice and support as needed.

Worked in a Health and Safety focused role either at Manager, Officer or Advisor level.
Hold NEBOSH General Certificate and ideally TechIOSH or equivalent experience
Experience implementing processes, systems and controls.
Knowledge of health and safety legislation and best practice
Strong team work and communication skills
Past experience in the public sector, facilities, estates, housing, property, construction or buildings sector would be highly desirable.

This role is due to start ASAP on a 3 month initial contract but with likely extensions

Rate of Pay:
£25-30 per hour on a umbrella company basis.
