Supporting Head of School administratively


Overall Purpose


An Academic Administrator is responsible for the administration of a specific academic program, project, service, or function to include academic program planning, implementation and evaluation.

This job performs administrative functions directly related to academic instruction by Head of School.


Specific Duties and Responsibilities

B3 Condition:
- participating in daily submission meeting with Academic, Registry and Student Services staff members to discuss submission and marking issues.


Moodle Administration:
- creating on-time and re-submission links in Moodle.
- enrolling relevant teaching, registry and customer services staff members in VLE, at the beginning of each semester.


Supporting UoB Operational Lead:
- in updating and uploading teaching and learning resources in VLE
- coordinating Academic Misconduct hearings
- communication with Cover tutors, enrolling them to cover module and provide with relevant information.
- arranging meetings and keeping minutes of the meetings.


Additional duties:

- to be familiar with all the institution's rules and regulations including those relating to health and safety.
- to undertake any other duties (within the level of the post), which may reasonably be required and requested by line manager.

Job Type:

Part-time hours: 24 per week


Salary:
Up to £16,800.00 per year

  • Monday to Friday
