Job description

We are looking for an Events Assistant to join the Communications team.
This is a great opportunity to learn more about engagement events and work on some exciting projects, with a focus on supporting the Scope Disability Equality Awards.
12 months, fixed term contract, 35
hours per week
Location:
London office, remote working and at event locations around UK.

The role has a combination of responsibilities across engagement and special events, providing the post holder with lots of opportunities to develop their event co-ordination skills and experience.
You will be:
- The first point of contact to anyone enquiring about or RSVPing to an engagement event at Scope.
- Responsible for ensuring that all enquiries are dealt with sensitively and efficiently and are appropriately recorded.
You will:
- Support with project meetings, book travel and accommodation for guests and provide logístical support on event days.
- Be responsible for updating content on the Scope Awards website, for which training will be provided.

About you
We're looking for someone who:
- Can deliver strong customer service.
- Is keen to learn more about events management.
- Is able to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Is organised and able to maintain accurate records.
- Has experience working with databases or a willingness to learn.
- Has experience working with a CMS such as Wordpress or a willingness to learn.
- This role would suit someone either as an entrylevel position, or with previous experience in an assistant or intern role. We particularly welcome applicants with lived experience of disability.
