A+T design and manufacture instruments for the high-end yacht market of Superyachts and race boats.

In its first few years of trading, it has developed a leading position and full range of instruments with equipment on over 500 of the world's largest and fastest yachts.

JOB SUMMARY

RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical support

  • Provide technical support to A+T customers.
  • Technical and commercial ownership of enquiries and projects.
  • Assist with presales advice for new and existing customers.
  • Upload key support questions/solutions to technical notes library.
  • Update manuals in response to received questions/answers.
  • Provide support via TeamViewer for commissioning and troubleshooting.
  • Identify future upgrade or pipeline sales opportunities.
  • Occasional visits to marine electronic dealers as well as key customer accounts where appropriate ranging from Shipyards and refit yards to yacht builders with the aim of maximising sales opportunities.
  • Complete quotations and proposals, supported by the technical team.
  • Work alongside other departments and demonstrate excellent teamwork and problemsolving skills and initiative to help the company deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Contribute towards new product development.
  • Maintain exceptional communication including reporting.
  • Provide out of hours technical support.
  • Maintain a keen understanding of the range of products.
  • Use CRM to manage all support enquiries.
  • Contribute to company management meetings and direction.
  • Support of business development activities including representing company at exhibitions such as METS, customer visits, boat shows and regattas (sailing when possible)
  • Work with marketing to contribute and develop relevant technical content.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Exceptional communication and proven problemsolving skills.
  • A reasonable understanding of data communication methods and protocols, including NMEA, CANbus (N2K), Ethernet.
  • Ability to read component product datasheets and understand the relevant technical content.
  • Ability to create, read and understand technical drawings.
  • A good understanding of the English language and the ability to communicate technical and faultfinding concepts with customers to enable remote diagnosis of faults.
  • Able to adapt to diagnose issues with other brand products.
  • Good knowledge of the superyacht and race boat industry.
  • Comfortable with regular overseas travel.
Renumeration package £80,000 - £100,000 per annum
